NEW YORK — The Minnesota Vikings experienced plane issues Saturday afternoon during their initial takeoff for Sunday’s game at the New York Giants. The plane’s landing gear malfunctioned, according to a team spokesperson.
The team, which had taken off from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, returned and planned to switch planes. At 7:30 p.m. (CT), after waiting for a second plane, the Vikings finally departed.
This is the team’s final road trip of the season. The Vikings have a quick turnaround Thursday versus the Detroit Lions. They host the Green Bay Packers in Week 18. Minnesota has won two games in a row. Beating quarterback Jaxson Dart and the Giants would make it three.
