Game Recap: New Orleans Saints 29, New York Jets 6

Veteran defensive end Cameron Jordan sacked Jets quarterback Brady Cook twice late in the second quarter. Jordan has 8.5 sacks this season and 130 for his career, surpassing Pro Football Hall of Famer Rickey Jackson to take sole possession of 17th all-time. Cook is the 51st quarterback Jordan has sacked. Linebacker Isaiah Stalbird, cornerback Alontae Taylor, defensive end Chris Rumph, defensive end Chase Young, defensive end Jonah Williams and defensive tackle Nathan Shepherd added sacks in the second half. Shepherd’s was a strip-sack that the Saints recovered in the fourth quarter.

Safety Jonas Sanker intercepted Cook in the fourth quarter. Linebacker Demario Davis recorded tackle No. 1,600 during the game. Tight end Foster Moreau left in the third quarter with an ankle injury and defensive tackle Bryan Bresee left later in the quarter with a knee injury.

The Saints will play at the Tennessee Titans (3-12) on Sunday, Dec. 28 in the penultimate game of the season.
