The Miami Dolphins have their longest pass play of the 2025 NFL regular season from the hand of their rookie starting quarterback.

Quinn Ewers, a seventh-round pick out of Texas in the 2025 NFL Draft, hit fellow rookie Theo Wease Jr. for a 63-yard touchdown in the first quarter of the Dolphins’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Dec. 28 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

It was the first career NFL touchdown for Ewers and Wease as well as the longest pass play of the 2025 NFL regular season for the Miami Dolphins.

Ewers’ touchdown strike brought the Dolphins even with the Bucs at 7-7 in the first quarter.
