Watch: Bengals lineman Cody Ford makes 21-yard catch vs Cardinals

Bengals vs. Cardinals pregame video preview
Enquirer beat reporter Kelsey Conway previews the Bengals vs. Cardinals game on Dec. 28.
Bengals offensive lineman Cody Ford had a 21-yard reception on his 29th birthday during the third quarter of the team’s NFL Week 17 game against the Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium.
“That is tremendous!” Fox analyst Daryl Johnston said during the broadcast. “This is the Cincinnati Bengals finding a way to have fun.”
“The play of the drive, maybe the play of the game,” Fox play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler added.
As Ford lined up at fullback a short time later, fans chanted his name. But the drive resulted in Chase Brown’s second rushing touchdown of the game, and fans booed.
Earlier in the game, Ford replaced an injured Amarius Mims at offensive tackle.
Reactions:
In August, Ford was injured during training camp, and he was unavailable for the Bengals’ second NFL preseason game against the Washington Commanders.
Ford was inactive for the Bengals’ 2024 NFL Week 15 game against the Titans in Tennessee because of an illness.
When starting left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. was declared out with a fibula injury, Ford, who previously started at left guard, was listed as Brown’s backup at left tackle.
Ford entered the 2025 season as the team’s backup right offensive tackle and backup left offensive tackle.
