Danni Menzies wasn’t afraid to go for a dip in an icy lake over the Christmas period.
The Scottish TV star is famed for helping couples find their dream home on A Place in the Sun. But she was worlds away from the sun over the holidays as she was seen swimming in a Scottish loch.
Danni decided to brave the cold waters on Boxing Day and strip off to a tiny red bikini before taking the plunge. She kept herself in the Christmas spirit by wearing a Santa hat during her swim.
She looked stunning in the bikini and filmed herself walking towards the water. Danni wished everyone a “Merry Christmas” in the caption.

Fans were impressed and rushed to the comments to praise her. One wrote: “Fair play to you, wouldn’t get me in there this time of year.”
Another commented: “Well done Danni. Bet you it was freezing/baltic refreshing xx Merry Christmas.” A third wrote: “Merry Christmas but still can’t get my head round the cold swimming. Have a great time.” A fourth admitted: “Definitely tougher than me.”

Danni left A Place in the Sun in 2022 after six years on the programme, but she has appeared as a host on the spin-off series A Place in the Sun: What Happened Next?.
She told The Sun of her exit: “I’ve left the show about a month ago, I’ve done it for six years and it’s about time for a change.
“And there were quite a few things that were hard to do when I was doing the show, like have a relationship. Like when you go on a date you’re packing your bag every week doesn’t really happen, so I just thought it’s time for a change”.

Just months after news of her exit in 2022, she had a horrific moped accident. She was knocked out and left permanently scarred and suffering from PTSD. after the accident.
She told the Mirror: “Life just kind of stopped. The last few years were hard at times after that.”
Danni previously opened up about wanting her own TV show which would see her rescue horses and dogs. She told the Scottish Sun: “The dream is to do something on telly that I can bring my love for animals into.
“In the future I’d love to work in something that has got horses or dogs or pet rescue. I’ve been trying for a while so we’ll see. I’ll keep trying.”
