Cyberpunk 2077 fans rejoice, we’re headed back to Night City in 2026 for some new DLC… although it might not be exactly what you expected.
2026 is shaping up to be a pretty big year for all us Night City fans. With Cyberpunk: Edgerunners widely considered one of the best video game adaptation ever made, it’s no surprise to see collaborations with other successful franchises. With the creative minds of CD Projekt RED and Studio Trigger bringing well-known characters to Wuthering Waves next year, it’s a great time to be a Cyberpunk 2077 fan.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners X Wuthering Waves Is Coming

Yes, in case you missed it, the recent 2.3 Livestream from WuWa confirmed that a collaboration between Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Wuthering Waves is going to happen some time in 2026. Information is painfully scarce but characters like David, Lucy and Rebecca are expected to make an appearance in the Wuthering Waves universe. It’s a cross-over to look forward to in 2026.
The new area of Lahai-Roi in Wuthering Waves is the perfect new location for some Nightcity guest cameos. The futuristic aesthetics of Lahai-Roi with its tall skyscrapers and advanced technology, isn’t too dissimilar from the bustling chaos of Nightcity. Sure, one is a shining advanced Utopia and the other looks like it could use a bath, but Lahai-Roi still feels like the perfect spot for David and the gang to make an appearance.

Collaborations with Wuthering Waves aside, 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for all Cyberpunk 2077 fans. We, of course, have the much anticipated Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 which looks set to surpass Season 1. Also, December’s announcement of the Arasaka-themed keyboard, mouse and mouse pad from CORSAIR looks set to ship as early as February 2026.2026 will also feature the chance to get your hands on Cyberpunk 2077 – The Board Game. Touted as a story-driven tactical action game, there’s no doubt that the board will help to deepen the lore of Nightcity while giving fans the chance for up to 4 player co-op in a sprawling new adventure. With approval from CD Projekt RED, you’ll get to play as V, Judy, Pamam or Jackie as you embark on new missions.With a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel being a hearbreakingly long way away, at least we still have plenty of Nightcity-inspired treats coming our way in 2026. The Cyberpunk Edgerunners X Wuthering Waves collaboration is also certainly an exciting prospect. Getting to see some of our favorite Nightcity characters drop into the world of Wuthering Waves and expand stories for both franchises is a tantalizing prospect.Now when is Johnny Silverhand going to show up again in Fortnite?
