Rangers are closing in on a £4million deal for Sturm Graz star Tochi Chukwuani.
The Austrian champions are on the verge of accepting a deal from Danny Rohl’s title-chasers.
Dan Purdy has been leading the negotiations and has agreed to pay around €4.5m plus add-ons for the Danish under-21 cap.
Sturm Graz are due to face Club Brugge in a friendly today at their winter training camp but the 22-year-old midfielder isn’t expected to play.
Chukwuani is just waiting for permission to travel to Scotland to complete his move.
He has impressed in his two seasons in Austria, after he made the move from Danish side Lyngby.
Chukwuani had come through the ranks of Nordsjaelland and made his senior breakthrough there.
The Dane was also a teammate of current Rangers star Mohamed Diomande, when they were at Nordsjaelland.

Record Sport also revealed on Wednesday night Rangers had made a €3.5m bid for Tuur Rommens.
The Ibrox side want to land the Westerlo left-back.
The Belgian under-21 defender has been their top target although they did look into a potential move to land James Penrice from AEK Athens.
The Greek side were reluctant to let the former Hearts star return to Scotland.
Rohl has seen his side move into contention for the title race and is looking to tool his squad up for a final push.
Rangers are also expected to bring in a central defender in the coming days.
Volendam’s Xavier Mbuyamba is a player that has been heavily linked in recent months.
The 24-year-old is out-of-contract in the summer and this will be the Dutch side’s last chance to get money for him.
