Forest Green Rovers thought to have agreed deal for talented centre-back prospect

Forest Green Rovers are thought to have agreed a deal for Penybont centre-back Gabe Kircough.
Kircough is believed to have already completed his medical ahead of his move to Nailsworth.The defender moved from Pontardawe in the summer of 2021, after growing through their academy, to Penybont.The Welshman has scored one goal in the Cymru Premier this season, as well as featuring in the club’s UEFA Conference League Qualifiers.The Bont currently sit third in the Cymru Premier, and Kricough has been a prominent feature in the squad, missing only two league games all season.
Despite being only 21 years old, Kircough has made 120 professional appearances already between the two clubs.The addition comes after the news that Ryan Inniss is out for six weeks, as he joins club captain Jordan Moore-Taylor on the sidelines for an extended period.
The club are expected to announce the new signing on Monday after Robbie Savage’s side advanced to the fifth round of the FA Trophy with a 2-0 win over Ebbsfleet United on Saturday afternoon.
