Miami Dolphins Hiring Mike McCarthy as the Head Coach

After hiring Jon-Eric Sullivan, it is only a matter of time now until Mike McCarthy ends up getting an interview for the head coaching role. Sullivan and McCarthy know each other from their time on the Packers together, as Sullivan had been with the Packers dating all the way back to 2003 when he was a training camp intern, while McCarthy became the head coach in 2006.

With the two knowing each other, it creates a connection right away, as Sullivan knows the type of coaching boost that Mike McCarthy would bring. Over the 13 seasons that McCarthy was the coach, he had a 125-77-2 record plus a Super Bowl victory. After being with the Packers, McCarthy coached for five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, and won 49 games during that stretch.

Mike McCarthy has brought sustainable results wherever he has gone, and that is exactly what the Dolphins need now. With McCarthy’s innovative offense and proven coaching ability, he can help in getting the offense back on track, and get the entire team back to where they need to be to be considered contenders.
