The Broncos will play either the No. 4 Pittsburgh Steelers, No. 5 Houston Texans, No. 6 Buffalo Bills or No. 7 Los Angeles Chargers in their first playoff game.

- No. 7 Chargers at No. 1 Broncos (if Chargers beat Patriots)
- No. 6 Bills at No. 1 Broncos (if Patriots beat Chargers, Bills beat Jaguars)
- No. 5 Texans at No. 1 Broncos (if Patriots beat Chargers, Jaguars beat Bills, Texans beat Steelers)
- No. 4 Steelers at No. 1 Broncos (if Patriots beat Chargers, Jaguars beat Bills, Steelers beat Texans)
The Broncos can’t face the No. 2 New England Patriots or No. 3 Jacksonville Jaguars until the AFC championship game because of seeding.
