Do the math. David Auburn’s celebrated, carefully calculated drama Proof returns to Broadway in a revival led by The Bear Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri and Oscar and Tony winner Don Cheadle in their Broadway debuts, under the direction of Hamilton’s Thomas Kail. That all adds up to one highly anticipated production.
First seen Off Broadway in 2000, the play follows a young woman grieving the death of her brilliant, mentally fragile mathematician father and confronting her future. The new production of the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play also features The Handmaid’s Tale Emmy winner Samira Wiley and current Hamilton star Jin Ha, with original music by Oscar winner Kris Bowers.
