17-year-old charged with murder in fatal slashing of teenager in Woodhaven, Queens

WOODHAVEN, Queens (WABC) — Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in the fatal slashing of a teenager in Queens on Friday afternoon.
The 17-year-old boy is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the fatal slashing.
The deadly incident happened on 85th Avenue and 76th Street in Woodhaven. Surveillance video shows a person chasing the victim, 17-year-old Josue Argudo, with what appears to be a knife.
Eyewitnesses later found Argudo slumped over a neighbor’s front lawn. Residents in the neighborhood say they are heartbroken by the teenager’s death.
“He was a young soul, full of energy. You know he was always cracking jokes,” one woman told Eyewitness News. “Anybody in our position, they would want any help to catch these guys.”
It is unclear if the person arrested knew Argudo.
Police are still searching for another person in connection to the slashing.
