Portland Trail Blazers forward Kris Murray will be out indefinitely due to a lumbar strain in his lower back, the team announced on Sunday. The Blazers said his status will be updated as appropriate.
Trail Blazers forward Kris Murray was evaluated after Monday night’s game vs. the Utah Jazz and it has been determined that he has been diagnosed with a lumbar strain in his lower back. His status for return to play will be updated as appropriate.
Murray missed the Blazers’ previous two games with what was initially designated as low back soreness. In 34 games played this season, including 11 games as a starter, Murray has averaged 6.1 points, 4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 25.7 minutes per night. He has shot 44.6% from the field and 25.6% on 3s this season.
Blazers forward Sidy Cissoko has started in Murray’s place in Portland’s last two games, including Sunday’s game against the New York Knicks.
