Alabama loses another defensive starter to transfer portal

Alabama will be without all three of its top 2025 Bandit defensive linemen in 2026.
Jordan Renaud has entered the transfer portal, per reports from 247Sports and On3.
Renaud started three games over the last month or so of the season at the hybrid defensive end/edge rusher spot. He got the starting nod against Oklahoma at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Georgia in the SEC Championship Game and the Rose Bowl against Indiana.
He was the top reserve behind LT Overton, who missed some games down the stretch for medical reasons. Overton exhausted his eligibility and will head to the NFL draft. Keon Keeley, another player at the Bandit spot, transferred to Notre Dame.
Renaud totaled eight pressures in 2025, per Pro Football Focus.
Renaud joined the Crimson Tide ahead of the 2023 season. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive lineman is from Sarasota, Florida.
He played in all 15 games this past season, tallying 16 tackles. Over three seasons with the Crimson Tide, Renaud tallied 34 tackles and 0.5 sacks.
Alabama has lost a handful of players on the defensive line while adding several players, including Mississippi State’s Kedrick Bingley-Jones, Washington’s Caleb Smith and Southern Cal’s Devan Thompkins.
Outgoing defensive linemen include Renaud, Overton, Keeley, Tim Keenan III and James Smith.
The transfer portal closes Friday.
