MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball is in desperate need of a win after dropping its first three Big 12 contests of the season. It will have an opportunity to earn one on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Bramlage Coliseum.

The Wildcats will host UCF at 7 p.m. in Manhattan. So far, the Knights are having their best season since joining the Big 12.

K-State (9-7, 0-3 Big 12) has been streaky this season, winning its first five, losing its next four, winning its next four and is now in the midst of a three-game losing streak. The Wildcats are coming off an 87-84 loss at Arizona State, which followed a pair of losses to No. 1 Arizona and No. 11 BYU.

Although UCF’s schedule hasn’t been the most difficult, the Knights (13-2, 2-1 Big 12) have a home win over No. 25 Kansas and are receiving votes in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll. The Knights have been a good rebounding team; somewhere, the Wildcats have struggled. Themus Folks averages 13 points and seven assists per game for the Knights.
