Freddie Mercury’s Alleged Daughter Dead at 48 After Long Cancer Battle

The alleged daughter of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury has died at age 48 after a battle with cancer, her family confirmed.

“(She died) peacefully after a long battle with chordoma, a rare spinal cancer, leaving two sons aged nine and seven,” her husband, Thomas, told the Daily Mail on Thursday, January 15. “B is now with her beloved and loving father in the world of thoughts. Her ashes were scattered to the wind over the Alps.”

The woman who claimed to be the secret daughter of Mercury and the wife of one of his friends was only identified as Bibi. She first came forward about her alleged paternity in author Lesley-Ann Jones’ biography of the Queen frontman, Love, Freddie, which was released in September.

Bibi was born in 1976 and lived her life in France. She claimed to have DNA evidence to prove the “Bohemian Rhapsody” rocker was her father, though those details have not been made public.

“I am devastated by the loss of this woman who became my close friend, who had come to me with a selfless aim: to brush aside all those who have had free rein with Freddie’s story for 32 years, to challenge their lies and their rewriting of his life, and to deliver the truth,” Jones told the Daily Mail. “At the end of her life, it was all that mattered to her. She was very ill throughout the four years that we worked together. But she was on a mission. She put herself and her own needs last.”
