John Mellencamp says daughter Teddi is ‘really sick’ amid brain cancer diagnosis

Musician John Mellencamp said his daughter, Teddi Mellencamp, is “really sick” amid her cancer diagnosis.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer shared an update on his daughter’s health during Wednesday’s podcast episode of the “Joe Rogan Experience.”
“It’s not f—ing fun,” John Mellencamp, 74, told Rogan. “She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now.”
Teddi Mellencamp, 44, revealed last year that her skin cancer had reached Stage 4 after doctors found tumors on her lungs and brain. The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star received emergency brain surgery, as well as radiation and immunotherapy after the tumors were discovered.
John Mellencamp told the “TODAY” show on Friday that he wants his daughter to move back to Indiana as she undergoes treatment. “I’m trying to talk her into moving back home,” he said.
He added that she has “good days” and others where she “feels like hell” after undergoing immunotherapy treatment.
Teddi Mellencamp has previously shared her father’s comments about her cancer diagnosis, saying he had already started making plans for her funeral days after she announced her cancer had metastasized.
In an episode of her podcast “Two T’s In A Pod,” co-hosted with Tamra Judge of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Teddi Mellencamp shared that her father had been calling her often and discussing burial preparations.
“Yesterday my dad calls 11 times in a row … he goes, ‘I just want to make sure that you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum,’” she said.
Teddi Mellencamp shared in an Instagram video a few weeks later that she had received all of her scans and her tumors had “significantly shrunk.” “Doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course,” she wrote in the caption.
In October, Mellencamp said on her podcast that there was no detectable cancer in her body, but that she was “not in remission.”
Teddi Mellencamp’s team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
During yesterday’s episode of her podcast, she said that she has been doing a lot of therapy and resting as she struggles with “massive PTSD” from her cancer journey.
“I’m starting to feel a little better,” she said. “The cloud is lifting.”
