Supernatural drama “The Nevers” lands on ITVX in February(Image: ITV)
ITV is adding a binge-worthy drama onto its streaming platform in the coming weeks. James Norton stars in the supernatural drama series which consists of 12 episodes. Produced by HBO, “The Nevers” is set in 1896 London as the city is changed by a supernatural event which gives certain people, mostly women, abnormal abilities.
A description for the show said: “No matter their particular ‘turns’, all who belong to this new underclass are in grave danger. It falls to mysterious, quick-fisted widow Amalia True (Laura Donnelly) and brilliant young inventor Penance Adair (Ann Skelly) to protect and shelter these gifted ‘orphans’. To do so, they will have to face the brutal forces determined to annihilate their kind.”
Other actors starring in the series include Olivia Williams, James Norton, Tom Riley, Rochelle Neil, Eleanor Tomlinson, Amy Manson, Pip Torrens, Denis O’Hare, Zackary Momoh, Elizabeth Berrington, Kiran Sawar, Anna Devlin, Viola Prettejohn, Ella Smith, Nick Frost and Ben Chaplin.
James Norton, best known for Happy Valley and Grantchester, stars in “The Nevers” as Hugo Swann, an aristocratic young man who owns a private club.

The Nevers first premiered in April 2021 and the 12 episodes were split into two parts. However, it was removed from the HBO Max library in 2022.
The series was popular among viewers at the time, with many seeking out places to binge-watch the programme in recent years.
Taking to X shortly after its release one viewer said: “Ok folks, new binge discovery. Group of women in Victorian England discover they have powers and special skills.”
A second said: “Well worth the binge!! So incredibly good!!!”
More recently, fans expressed their disappointment when they struggled to find a place to watch the show.
One said: “Sometimes I just randomly think about that show and I have no place to binge.” Another said: “Let us binge it on demand please!”
The Nevers will be available to stream for free on ITVX from February 1 2026.
