Netflix Unveils Stacked Korean Content Slate of 33 Series and Films

Netflix has revealed a full look at its much-anticipated Korean content lineup for 2026.
The streamer unveiled a slate of 33 Korean films and series titles on Wednesday afternoon from Seoul, noting that “K-content remains the most-watched non-English content on Netflix.” The lineup includes everything from a tart romantic comedy starring Blackpink’s Jisoo (Boyfriend on Demand) to a star-studded superhero drama (The Wonderfools, with Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo), returning seasons of unscripted hits like Singles Inferno and Culinary Class Wars, and even some prestige cinema from the great Lee Chang-dong (Possible Love).
The new lineup arrives after a huge 2025 for Korean storytelling on the platform, following the final season of Squid Game, reality favorites like Physical: Asia and K-drama breakthroughs such as When Life Gives You Tangerines.
“Over the past five years, more than 210 Korean titles have been ranked in the global top 10,” notes Don Kang, Netflix’s Korean content lead.
Other new titles expected to drive viewership and engagement on the world’s dominant streaming service include The East Palace, an action-fantasy drama starring Nam Joo-hyuk as a royal figure confronting a curse at the heart of the Joseon court, and The Scandal, a period romance headlined by Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook that revisits themes of forbidden desire and social transgression in historical Korea. Higher-profile scripted offerings also include Tantara, which pairs Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo in a series set against the “reckless and merciless” Korean entertainment industry of the 1960s and ’80s, written by Our Blues creator Noh Hee-gyoung and directed by Coffee Prince’s Lee Yoon-jung.
The 2026 slate also leans heavily on returning franchises that have already demonstrated repeat viewing and global traction. Netflix confirmed new seasons of unscripted hits, including Singles Inferno, Culinary Class Wars and The Devil’s Plan, as well as follow-ups to scripted performers such as Bloodhounds season two and action-comedy sequel Mission: Cross 2.
Together, the lineup reflects the streamer’s mature position in Korea, boasting a broad range of genres — from historical drama and romance to competition formats and action — while pairing new star-driven projects with established franchises that reliably sustain engagement.
The company’s full 2026 Korean slate follows. The project summaries are Netflix’s.

Q3 2026
Mission: Cross makes its comeback with a new sequel. Mission: Cross 2 promises an electrifying action spectacle as Kang-mu and Mi-seon take on the mission of a lifetime: stopping a shadowy organization from smuggling Korea’s cultural heritage artifacts out of the country. The first film wowed audiences with its explosive blend of action and comedy, and its second installment ups the ante with an even bigger, bolder heist. Hwang Jung-min reprises his role as Kang-mu, effortlessly shifting between a loving husband and a former special ops agent, while Yum Jung-ah returns as the charismatic Mi-seon, a former national shooting athlete turned ace detective. Jung Man-sik again plays Sang-woong, Mi-seon’s reliable colleague and leader of the violent crimes unit, with Cha Rae-hyung and Lee Ho-cheol back as Hun-ki and Dong-su — the lovably clumsy yet indispensable detectives of the squad. New faces join the franchise: Yoon Kyung-ho as Cheon In-hak, the leader of the organization plotting to seize cultural treasures; Im Seong-jae as Duchil, nicknamed the “connoisseur among tomb raiders”; Cha In-pyo as the President; and Kim Kuk-hee as his chief of staff and trusted right hand. Together, they’re gearing up for a whole new level of thrills, humor, and heart.

Possible Love (Working Title)
Q4 2026 | Scripted
Possible Love follows the intertwined lives of two married couples leading completely different lives. As their worlds collide, fractures begin to appear in their daily existence. Marking his first release in eight years, highly acclaimed director Lee Chang-dong (Burning, Poetry, Secret Sunshine) brings his signature nuance to Possible Love, capturing shifting emotions, conflicts, and contrasting outlooks that shape these relationships. Jeon Do-yeon reunites with director Lee Chang-dong for the first time since Secret Sunshine, taking on the role of Mi-ok with a performance that cuts deep and lingers. Sul Kyung-gu also returns to collaborate with director Lee for the third time — following Peppermint Candy and Oasis — portraying Mi-ok’s husband, Ho-seok, revealing a new side of himself to audiences. Sang-woo and Ye-ji, a couple whose lives stand in stark contrast to Mi-ok and Ho-seok, are played by Zo In-sung and Cho Yeo-jeong, marking their first collaboration with director Lee, which further amps up the excitement for the film. All eyes are on how Zo In-sung, known for his genre-defying range in Smugglers and Escape from Mogadishu, which mesmerized critics and fans alike, and Cho Yeo-jeong, celebrated for her ever-evolving charm in roles from Parasite to Hidden Face, will bring these characters to life.
