Emmerdale reveals who killed Ray Walters tonight – and it’s not who you’d expect

Emmerdale resolves the Ray Walters murder mystery tonight as his death scene finally airs in a dramatic flashback. Will this bombshell turn of events change life in the village forever?
After a series of flashbacks focusing on different suspects in turn, Thursday’s visit to the Dales broadens out the mystery as everything comes together for the first time. And by the end of the episode, all is revealed as someone takes drastic action to get Ray out of the picture forever.
The unmissable rewind episode shows how Ross Barton was able to track down April Windsor at the start of the year, after Marlon Dingle had filled him in on the teenager’s latest disappearance.
Afterwards, April turned to Ross for help dealing with Ray – but how far did he go?

Meanwhile, Graham Foster continued to lurk around the village after returning to help save April.

Elsewhere, other flashbacks show how Laurel Thomas was left furious as her teenage son Arthur returned to Mulberry Cottage with Ray’s bag.
Laurel was horrified as drugs were inside – and tensions with Arthur spiralled into a violent confrontation.

Paddy Dingle and Dylan Penders were also in the mix. After a stressful day of dramatic showdowns with the villagers, Ray confronted Dylan for sparking his downfall.
Ray cruelly berated Dylan for sharing all of his secrets with Laurel and Paddy, leading to a frightening life-or-death altercation. It looked like the end for Dylan and Paddy, but what happened next?

Joe Absolom, who plays Ray, recently confirmed that the killer won’t be leaving the show – so there’s sure to be a strong aftermath as the consequences play out in the months ahead.
