Eminem performed at Little Caesars Arena on Thursday, but there’s a reason you didn’t hear about it in advance.
The Detroit rapper was the surprise guest at Rocket Mortgage’s annual all-team meeting and performed a private concert for employees as part of his appearance.
Social media posts from Thursday show Eminem performing inside LCA on a round stage. He’s wearing a gray hoodie, jogger pants and white Nike Air Max sneakers.
Eminem performed “Lose Yourself,” “My Name Is,” “The Real Slim Shady,” “Stan,” “Kill You,” “Square Dance” and “3 a.m.” as part of his appearance. Superstar DJ Steve Aoki also performed at the event.
The Rocket event is known for pulling in big names; last year’s featured Lil Wayne.
While not officially on the books since it was a private show, the concert marks Eminem’s first performance at Little Caesars Arena, which opened in 2017.
Eminem’s last public, official headlining concerts in Detroit were back in 2014, when he headlined two nights at Comerica Park with Rihanna, part of the pair’s Monster Tour.
Eminem was also a surprise guest at Michigan Central’s reopening concert in June 2024.
