The Masked Singer viewers declare the winner of the series as they confirm the noughties pop icon hiding behind Moth.
ITV’s The Masked Singer returned for a brand new series as we welcomed 2026, and 12 new celebrities prepared to take to their stage as they hide behind a mask.
Host Joel Dommett has reprised his role, as well as judges Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross as the panel become detectives every weekend to figure out who could be hiding.
On Saturday (January 17), viewers were left stunned when This Morning presenter Ben Shephard appeared as a guest judge after he had been a fan-favourite suggestion for Can of Worms.
As their original guess for one character was up in the air, it was Moth that left viewers feeling certain over the noughties pop icon who could be waiting to be unmasked.
Many fans have shared the same observation that Keisha Buchanan from Sugababes could be behind the mask. Sugababes were iconic in the early-mid 2000’s, with them producing multiple chart-toppers and platinum-selling records, becoming a huge success by 2006.
They remained major figures in UK pop through numerous line-up changes, always maintaining high chart presence until they went on hiatus around 2011-2012.
Judge Maya Jama appeared to agree, as she shared: “I don’t even know if the clues match with this, but Keisha from Sugababes. That voice is bringing me back to my childhood a bit.”

On X (formerly known as Twitter), @madgekin wrote: “moth is keisha buchanan. 10000000%” as @lozysaurus penned: “I hope moth wins it because her voice is the best one”.
@ifeelflames agreed: “Moth being Keisha Buchanan is the only one I’m sure about this year so far!” and @jordanlee1402 echoed: “Keisha Buchanan needs to win this show outright!! Mother MOTH”.
So far, The One Show presenter Alex Jones, musician Professor Green and Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon have been revealed after losing out to the audience vote.
As she was the first one to leave, Alex took to Instagram after the show and gushed: “This was loads of fun! Thanks you so much to @maskedsingeruk and @itv for having me. Watching with the kids tonight was AMAZING! They had no idea and their reaction was truly priceless!!!
“My heart was thumping all the way through because as someone who had never sang in public before I was dreading seeing it (hence coming to the other side of the world) but I think it’s good to push yourself right out of your comfort zone sometimes and good for the kids to see their mama do it!”She continued: “I honestly loved the process though. Learning a new skill is so invigorating and getting taught by the best in the business is a once in a lifetime opportunity”Huge amounts of love to the one and only @showbizliz who held my hand and was my number one cheerleader throughout. What a woman! I’ve promised myself to keep pushing out of that comfort zone this year, so let’s see what happens…..”
