The richest musician in the world has a $2.5 billion fortune. Can you guess who it is?
Beyoncé recently made headlines when she joined elite company as one of just five musicians in the world to accumulate a net worth of more than $1 billion.
Forbes first reported the news, and a quick look at the other musicians on the list reveals that things are going extremely well in the Carter household because her husband, rap legend Jay-Z, is also on the list.
The other three musicians to make the cut? Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna.
But who is the richest musician in the world?
Well, it appears to be Jay-Z, who has an estimated fortune of $2.53 billion. Beyonce, having just surpassed the billion-dollar threshold, is at the bottom of the list.
Rihanna, with an estimated fortune of $1.03 billion, and Bruce Springsteen has an estimated $1.17 billion fortune. Taylor Swift is second behind Jay-Z with an estimated $2.1 billion.
Beyoncé has several business interests that have helped boost her wealth including a hair care brand, a whiskey label, and a clothing line, but Forbes noted that her musical career remains red-hot and is the main source of her fortune.
The outlet reported that Beyoncé’s recent Cowboy Carter Tour had more than $400 million in gross ticket sales and sold an estimated $50 million in merchandise.
Her cut from everything in 2025, per Forbes, was an estimated $125 million. The outlet said that made her the third-highest paid musician in the world for the year.
Combined with Jay-Z … that’s just about $4 billion in net worth so, again, times are good, at least financially, in the Carter household.
