Estevao Willian’s goal before the break has really opened this game up, and it was the Brazilian again who helped create this goal.
Joao Pedro held the ball up on the halfway line and laid it off to his countryman, who returned the favour with a chipped return pass over the top.
JP was able to dash in on goal, and when Adam Wharton challenged him the Brazilian cut back onto his left to create space for a shot. He slammed it right through Dean Henderson with sheer power. This is what we’ve been wanting all season from JP.

That’s a big goal, especially against a team so low on confidence. We should have broken their spirit here, allowing us to start filtering in changes with a huge Champions League game next week in mind.
We would expect Moises Caicedo to come off pretty soon, given he’s on a yellow and needs to be saved as many minutes as possible. If we were to get a third, expect the Ecuador star to come off before play is even restarted.

UPDATE: Chelsea have their third after a penalty. Game over – get these tired players off ASAP Liam!
