Packers hiring former Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon as defensive coordinator

Jonathan Gannon is going from the desert to Wisconsin.
The Packers are hiring the former Arizona Cardinals head coach to be the new defensive coordinator in Green Bay, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported on Sunday morning, per sources.
Gannon, 42, takes over Green Bay’s defense after former Packers DC Jeff Hafley took the head coaching job for the Miami Dolphins on Jan. 19.
Hafley spent two seasons in Green Bay, leading the Packers’ defensive unit to top-12 finishes in points and yards allowed, and the defense production took a slight dip when All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons suffered a torn ACL in Week 15.
Gannon steps into a well-orchestrated defensive unit with Packers head coach Matt LaFleur now finding Hafley’s replacement.
