The Phoenix Suns begin a five-game homestand Sunday, Jan. 25, against the Miami Heat at Mortgage Matchup Center.
The 6 p.m. MST game is being televised on 3TV and Arizona’s Family Sports.
Nine of Phoenix’s next 10 games are at home before the NBA All-Star break. The Suns are 14-5 at Mortgage Matchup Center this season.
Phoenix (27-18) will be without Devin Booker, who has been ruled out with a right ankle sprain he suffered in a Jan. 23 loss to the Atlanta Hawks to end a six-game road trip. Booker will be re-evaluated in a week, the team announced Sunday afternoon. He’s only missed four games this season. Phoenix is 1-3 in those games.
Jalen Green has been ruled out under right hamstring injury management as Jordan Ott said pregame Green is “day-to-day.” Green played just four minutes Jan. 23 at Atlanta, his second game back from the injury, which sidelined him for 33 consecutive games. Green checked out with 2:21 left in the first quarter. He has only played four games in his first season with the Suns.
Jordan Goodwin (jaw sprain) is available as he continues to wear a mask.
The Heat (24-22) conclude their five-game road trip against the Suns. They’re coming off a 147-116 victory Jan. 24 against the Utah Jazz. Miami beat Phoenix, 127-121, Jan. 13 at home.
Miami is down Tyler Herro (right costochondral/injury to the ribs), Davion Mitchell (left shoulder sprain) and Kel’el Ware (right hamstring strain). Norman Powell (low back tightness) and Andrew Wiggins (left hamstring tightness) are listed as probable, but they’re trending towards playing, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra noted.
