Charlie Weis Jr. will not be the Eagles’ new offensive coordinator

With so much news about who the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive coordinator WON’T be, you’d think we’re going to figure it out by process of elimination at some point.

LSU offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. is the latest candidate to be out of the running. He told the Birds he’s going to remain on Lane Kiffin’s staff, according to a report from NFL insider Dianna Russini.

Weis Jr. never seemed like an especially likely hire due to his lack of NFL experience … but his upside is intriguing after seeing the offensive success that Ole Miss has had over the past few years. The Eagles’ interest in him is notable should he ever become available again down the road.

With Weis Jr. out of the picture, the Eagles are down to the following known candidates:

It’s also been said that Brian Daboll is still in the mix, though it’s not clear if that’s truly the case. The Eagles could still add more candidates as well, especially now that members of the Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos coaching staffs are available for interviews.
