Netflix’s limited series adaptation of Vladimir by Julia May Jonas will premiere on Netflix March 5, 2026.
Series regulars are Rachel Weisz as M, Leo Woodall as the titular character Vladimir, John Slattery as John, Ellen Robertson as Sid and Jessica Henwick as Cynthia.
“When a passionate but reckless professor’s world begins to unravel, she finds herself dangerously fixated on her magnetic new colleague,” the series logline reads. “As boundaries blur and secrets simmer, she’ll risk everything to bring her most scandalous fantasies to life.”
Weisz portrays said professor, and Woodall is her new colleague. The series mixes seduction and obsession with forbidden desires, sharp whit and charismatic yet unpredictable characters.
Additional cast include Matt Walsh, Kayli Carter, Miriam Silverman, Mallori Johnson, Tattiawna Jones and Louise Lambert.

Consisting of eight half-hour episodes, Vladimir is written, created and executive produced by Julia May Jones. Alongside star Weisz, executive producers include Sharon Horgan, Stacy Greenberg and Kira Carstensen (Merman), Jason Winer & Jon Radler (Small Dog Picture Company), Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini.
Horgan first teased her work on the project with author Jonas in December 2024 as Horgan’s Apple TV show Bad Sisters wrapped up its second season. The project was officially greenlighted in March 2025 alongside the casting of Weisz. Woodall was cast as the titular character last July.
Directors include Shari Springer Berman & Robert Pulcini (101, 102), Francesca Gregorini (103, 106, 107) and Josephine Bornebusch (104, 105).
Vladimir is produced by 20th Television in addition to Merman and Small Dog Picture Company. The series was shot in Toronto, Canada.
