One contestant in Love Island All Stars is about to receive their marching orders with a ‘return ticket home’.

Tensions have been soaring in the villa with waterworks flowing and explosive drama unfolding at every turn. The latest episode witnessed an emotional Tommy Bradley breaking down as he opened up about his battles during his second crack at villa life.

Over a dozen former Love Island favourites have thrown their hats back in the ring for another shot at romance, this time under the South African sun. This marks the third series of ITV’s popular spin-off, and the drama has been absolutely electric.

Tonight’s episode (January 27) will see one Islander given their walking papers as the group gathers around the firepit for the latest challenge, dubbed ‘It’s Giving’ – inspired by this year’s cast’s go-to catchphrases.

Each Islander takes turns selecting a mystery box containing hidden personality traits, then presents it to the All Star they believe embodies that characteristic best. Curtis kicks things off by handing Millie the ‘It’s giving green flag’ box, reports OK!.

He gushes: “She’s honest, she’s absolutely lovely and I feel like we’ve had great conversations which are leading in the right direction.”

But the atmosphere quickly heats up when Jess delivers a brutal blow to Shaq, presenting him with the ‘biggest gameplayer’ box. She declares: “I just felt like with Belle and Helena..”

Shaq hit back in his defence: “Nah, Jess. I can’t lie, when you know exactly how I’ve gone about situations in here and tried to think about everyone’s feelings, everyone here knows that, and you’re calling me a game player. Instead of me I think there are other people..”

Tensions reached boiling point when Scott got to his feet and handed Sean the ‘Stirring the pot’ award. Addressing Sean directly, Scott declared: “The behaviour you have had towards Shaq is snakey. I feel like you use the ‘Sean let me feel sorry for you’ card and get the grace that he doesn’t get…and when I came in and said something to you after what I’d seen as a viewer and the first few days I thought maybe I actually got it wrong, but I think I actually got it right and you’ve not grown as a person..”

Sean fired back in his own defence: “Look Scott, you’ve had your moment, you’ve smashed it mate…honestly I think you’ve been picking on me since day one. You had your moment when you first came in, you humiliated me and when everyone else has come through the door you’ve been like ‘we’re good mates now’… we’re not mates. I don’t know you, you’re not my mate.”

The drama didn’t stop there, as one islander was then given the power to decide who deserved a one-way ticket out of the villa. ITV has kept the identities of those involved under wraps, leaving viewers on tenterhooks for what could prove to be the most explosive showdown yet.

Meanwhile, one Islander faces a devastating setback just days following the most recent recoupling. Latest bombshell Lucinda may have earned her explosive reputation by choosing Ciaran, stealing him away from Samie.

Yet, it appears she hasn’t completely extinguished their spark. Drawing her aside for a heart-to-heart, Millie reveals to Lucinda: “So, them two have had a kiss tonight. Do you know that?” A confused Lucinda responds: “Who?” Millie confirms: “Ciaran and Samie…” Lucinda is left stunned and uncertain about her next move.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
