Family identifies fourth victim in Maine deadly plane crash tied to Houston law firm

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The family of Nick Mastrascusa has identified him as the fourth person on board the corporate jet owned by the Arnold & Itkin law firm that crashed Sunday night in Maine.
Mastrascusa was the executive vice president of hospitality for a luxury travel company owned by the Arnold family. His wife confirmed to ABC13 was among those on the plane. Mastascusa spent years working as a chef in some of the world’s most exclusive restaurants and resorts. He is survived by his wife and three children.
On Monday, multiple sources had already confirmed that Tara Arnold, an attorney and the wife of Arnold & Itkin founder Kurt Arnold, was on board. Family members have also confirmed that Jacob Hosmer, the pilot, and Shawna Collins, an event planner, also died.
Sources tell ABC13 that the two other victims on the plane are another employee and the plane’s co-pilot.

Officials in Bangor, Maine, said that in all, six people died during the crash. The Bombardier corporate jet took off from Jet Aviation at Houston’s Hobby Airport, then landed in Maine to refuel for a trip to Europe.
It was during the takeoff for the second leg of the trip that the plane flipped and crashed at the airport.
NTSB investigators arrived on the scene on Tuesday.
So far, the law firm has not issued an official statement.
Across social media on Tuesday, friends who knew the victims shared stories and fond memories. In addition, Houston’s Lakewood Church confirmed that Collins was an employee and released a statement honoring her memory:
“She was a light that brightened our days, and she possessed a beautiful spirit that lifted everyone she met. We loved Shawna dearly, and we will miss her more than words can express. We pray for her entire family and offer them our love and support during this difficult time.”
Sources say the remaining two individuals on the plane were a co-pilot and another employee. Federal officials and the law firm have not yet released official statements regarding their identities.
The airport director said both commercial and private aircraft were arriving and departing at the time of the crash. Experts note that weather conditions are expected to be a key focus of the investigation.
