UW Huskies’ football schedule released for 2026 season

The UW Huskies’ 2026 football schedule was unveiled Tuesday afternoon as part of the Big Ten’s schedule release.

The Huskies already knew which opponents they’d face and where those matchups would take place, but now they also know the dates of those matchups. However, every matchup except their road trips to USC and Nebraska are subject to be moved up a day to Friday. Those changes will be announced in the late spring or early summer.

Here’s a full look at Washington’s 2026 schedule, with home games in bold.

• Sept. 5 – Washington State
• Sept. 12 – Utah State
• Sept. 19 – Eastern Washington
• Sept. 26 – Minnesota
• Oct. 3 – at USC
• Oct. 10 – Iowa
• Oct. 17 – at Purdue
• Oct. 31 – at Nebraska
• Nov. 7 – Penn State
• Nov. 14 – at Michigan State
• Nov. 21 – Indiana
• Nov. 28 – at Oregon

Washington’s schedule includes five matchups against teams ranked in ESPN’s “Way-Too-Early Top 25” for the upcoming season: No. 1 Indiana, at No. 5 Oregon, at No. 13 USC, No. 16 Iowa and No. 22 Penn State.

UW opens the season with four consecutive home games, beginning with the Apple Cup against the cross-state rival WSU Cougars on Sept. 5. However, the Huskies close the season with four of their final six games on the road.

Washington hosts reigning national champion Indiana on Nov. 21, which will mark the third straight season the Huskies have hosted the defending national champs. UW beat 2023 national champion Michigan in a title game rematch at Husky Stadium in 2024, but lost to 2024 national champion Ohio State at Husky Stadium this past fall.

One week after facing Indiana, the Huskies head to Autzen Stadium to close their regular season against archrival Oregon, which advanced to the College Football Playoff semifinals this year before falling to Indiana.

Washington welcomes Penn State to Seattle for the first time since 1921 and Iowa to Seattle for the first time since 1963.

Also of note is the Huskies’ Oct. 31 trip to Nebraska, where they will face the Cornhuskers at historic Memorial Stadium.
