Zac Efron named in Alexander brothers sex trafficking trial

Zac Efron’s name was just brought up in a sex trafficking trial against two of New York’s top real estate brokers, Oren and Tal Alexander, and their brother, Alon.
According to the New York Post, a woman testifying under the alias “Katie Moore” told a Manhattan federal jury on Tuesday that she was raped by Alon after meeting him at a 2012 NBA Finals watch party hosted by Efron.
The gathering, which consisted of fewer than a dozen people, took place at the actor’s loft penthouse in the Meatpacking District.
“I was a fan of Zac Efron, and I wanted to meet him. It seemed like a fun experience,” she told jurors.
Alon and Tal were friends with the “High School Musical” star, she testified. Following the watch party, Moore, who was then a 20-year-old NYU student, left Efron’s apartment with the brothers and went to a nearby club.
At the club, she was given a drink that caused her to lose control of her limbs.
Moore said that she awoke naked with Alon standing over her. When she refused sex, he allegedly laughed, told her “you already did,” and forcibly raped her despite her pleas.
She made no indication that Efron was aware of the alleged drugging and rape.
The trial, which began Monday, follows the brothers’ 2024 arrests. According to court filings reported by CNN, the alleged assaults spanned from 2008 to 2021 across various luxury locales, including the Hamptons, Aspen, Las Vegas, Manhattan, and a Caribbean cruise.
Prior to the charges, Oren and Tal were titans of luxury real estate. Their past clients include Ken Griffin and Kim Kardashian. Meanwhile, Alon held a leadership role at Kent Security, the family’s private security firm.
The brothers are currently being held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. If convicted of sex trafficking and related crimes, they face 15 years to life in prison.
