Taste of Chicago 2026 is officially moving back to July, city announces lineup for summer festivals this year
CHICAGO (WLS) — The city’s signature food festival is moving back to July after the NASCAR Street Race moved locations.

The Taste of Chicago returns to Grant Park from Wednesday, July 8 through Sunday, July 12.
In recent years, the Taste was pushed to September to make room for the NASCAR Street Race.
However, after three years of Fourth of July weekend racing, NASCAR said it would not return for 2026.

Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events also announced the 2026 lineup for summer festivals and events:
-Division Street Farmers Market opens Saturday, May 16.
-Daley Plaza Farmers Market opens Thursday, May 21.
-Millennium Park Summer Workouts at Great Lawn on Saturdays starting May 16 to September 5.
-Chicago Blues Festival at Ramova Theatre and Millennium Park will be June 4 to 7.
-Millennium Park Summer Music Series will be on most Mondays and Thursdays starting June 15.
-Chicago Air and Water Show on August 15 and 16 with rehearsal on Friday, August 14.
