Middle East sports forum unveils investment deals in Riyadh

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — The Middle East Sports Investment Forum concluded its second day in Riyadh with the announcement of multiple financing initiatives and strategic partnerships aimed at accelerating the growth of Saudi Arabia’s sports economy.
Held at Kingdom Arena, the forum is being organized in partnership with the Ministry of Investment, the Ministry of Sports and Sela Co., a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, with support from Invest in Saudi Arabia.
Officials said the new agreements reflect the rapid expansion of the Kingdom’s sports sector and its rising appeal to both domestic and international investors under Vision 2030.
Among the key announcements was the launch of specialized industrial investments focused on manufacturing components for sports stadium infrastructure, a move designed to localize supply chains and increase local content within the sector.
The forum also unveiled partnerships in sports medicine, aimed at transferring advanced medical expertise, improving healthcare services for athletes and strengthening the efficiency of health systems supporting professional sports in the Kingdom.
Additional agreements covered temporary sports facilities and construction solutions to enhance Saudi Arabia’s readiness to host major international tournaments and championships, while boosting the resilience and efficiency of sports infrastructure.
Collaborations were also announced in sports technology, including digital platforms, performance analytics and innovation tools, alongside expanded investment in sports marketing, club development, event promotion and brand building.
Participants further revealed the formation of strategic alliances to develop specialized training and development programs across multiple sports, with the goal of broadening participation, raising professional standards and nurturing athletic talent.
Forum participants said the breadth of the agreements underscores strong investor confidence in the Saudi sports market and reinforces the Kingdom’s emerging role as a regional and global hub for sports investment, supported by large-scale infrastructure, market depth and long-term policy backing.
Organizers said the Middle East Sports Investment Forum serves as a key platform for connecting investors with decision-makers, fostering sustainable partnerships and driving long-term growth of the sports economy in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
