Epstein sent Five Nights at Freddy’s Porn from 4chan, because of course he did

This latest round of revelations about sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein contains so many things that seem like they’d be fake, but are turning out to be real. The latest bizarre report, verified by multiple sources including Kotaku, is that he sent Five Nights at Freddy’s-based porn to his girlfriend.

Yesterday, the Department of Justice released three million pages of Epstein-related documents, and journalists the world over are trying to make some sense of all this. Apparently on May 4, 2017, he sent a message to his girlfriend Karyna Shuliak that contained an animated GIF made in Source Filmmaker featuring FNAF characters in pornographic situations. In the e-mail’s subject line, he said “amazing animations.”

My first reaction was “this is so ridiculous it must be made up.” But then I had to ask myself what part I couldn’t believe. That a child trafficker would be into weird porn with connections to kids’ toys? That he would send said weird stuff to his girlfriend, who may or may not have felt comfortable telling him that it was inappropriate? That Epstein was on 4chan?

Also, yesterday, we learned that Epstein was banned from Xbox Live in 2013. After all, he was a registered sex offender, and Microsoft had agreed to cooperate with the New York Attorney General’s office to remove them from the service. It’s not clear if he was the primary user of the account in question, as other emails leaked in this huge release mention buying an Xbox as a gift and questioning where a $25 charge had come from.
