Charli has a lot going on at the moment, including her upcoming movie literally called The Moment, not to mention Wuthering Heights (which she soundtracked).
Charli recently spoke to Elle about playing an exaggerated version of herself in The Moment, saying, “I’ve always been very fascinated with persona, the different versions of ourselves we present to the world. That’s such an element of life now in general: We present ourselves online, and the versions of ourselves that we put forward. I’ve always found that fascinating.”
She also noted, “I love a self-reference. I don’t ever see art as ever having a sort of final, full stop at the end of it. You want to continue and grow something and change it and manipulate it. That’s part of the fun of being the creator of your own work.”
