Norwegian midfielder Sverre Nypan has returned to Manchester City from his loan spell at Championship side Middlesbrough.
The 19-year-old had joined Boro in the summer and made 22 appearances.
City signed the player from Rosenborg for £12.5m in the summer on a five-year deal.
City say he will now return to Manchester where his development will be overseen by Pep Guardiola and the the club’s first-team staff.
