Brentford defender Benjamin Arthur set to join Celtic on loan

Brentford defender Benjamin Arthur is set to complete a loan move to Celtic until the end of the season.
Discussions are ongoing between the two clubs, with the move seemingly set to go ahead.
It is understood the move will be a straight loan until the end of the 2025-26 season, with no obligation to buy at the end of his spell.

Arthur is behind the likes of Nathan Collins, Kristoffer Ajer, Sepp van den Berg and Ethan Pinnock in the pecking order of central defence.
The move to Glasgow represents an incredible opportunity for the defender to further his development as they approach the business end of the season.

Celtic remain six points off Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership and face two Europa League play-off ties against Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart this month.
Should talks reach a successful outcome, the defender will undergo a medical of his move to Celtic Park and join Martin O’Neill’s side until the end of the season.
