Bryan Police identify woman killed in Highway 6 crash

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Bryan Police Department (BPD) identified a Robertson County woman as the person who died in a crash Sunday afternoon.
BPD said 61-year-old Sheila Lemma-Swartz was the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle that struck a semi-truck in the 1900 block of North Earl Rudder Freeway.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt, according to BPD.
Police did not reveal a cause of the crash on Monday and said the crash is still under investigation.
Police closed the highway for several hours as they processed the scene.
