Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas and Wunmi Mosaku Join SBIFF Virtuosos Awards

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival has announced additional programming and honorees for its 41st edition that will run February 4-14, 2026. 

Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas and Wunmi Mosaku will join the previously announced lineup for the Virtuosos Award in celebration of their Academy Award-nominated performances in SENTIMENTAL VALUE and SINNERS. They join Jacob Elordi, Chase Infiniti, Amy Madigan, Wagner Moura, Sydney Sweeney and Teyana Taylor for an evening honoring a select group of performers whose exceptional work this year has positioned them at the forefront of the awards conversation. The evening will be moderated by TCM’s Dave Karger.

In Joachim Trier’s SENTIMENTAL VALUE, Lilleaas stars opposite Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård and Elle Fanning in the intimate drama exploring memory, family and the weight of personal history. Her nuanced performance has introduced her to international audiences and earned her her first Academy Award nomination. She has additionally been nominated for BAFTA, Golden Globe, Critics Choice and Gotham Awards, and won the Best Supporting Actress Award from the National Board of Review establishing her as one of the year’s most notable breakout talents.

In Ryan Coogler’s genre-defying SINNERS, which set an Academy Awards record with 16 nominations, Mosaku stars alongside Michael B. Jordan and delivers a powerful and emotionally layered performance that has earned widespread critical acclaim and her first Academy Award and SAG The Actor Award nominations. A BAFTA Award winner known for her work in Lovecraft CountryHis House and Loki, Mosaku continues to build a dynamic career across film and television with complex, resonant roles.

Academy Award nominee Delroy Lindo will also appear at SBIFF following a 2:00 PM screening of SINNERS on Thursday, February 12 at the Arlington Theatre. In SINNERS, Lindo delivers a powerful turn as seasoned blues musician Delta Slim, earning him critical acclaim and his first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. The role underscores Lindo’s decades-long career as one of the screen’s most formidable and respected actors, with standout work in films including Malcolm XDa 5 Bloods and The Harder They Fall.

Academy Award-nominated producer Jerry Bruckheimer will also appear at SBIFF on Thursday, February 5 following a 2:00 PM screening of F1 at the Arlington Theatre. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the high-speed drama stars Brad Pitt alongside Damson Idris, Kerry Condon and Javier Bardem, and follows a veteran Formula 1 driver who returns to the sport to mentor a rising talent and revive a struggling team. One of the most successful and influential producers in Hollywood history, Bruckheimer has been behind some of the most iconic films of the past four decades, including Top GunBeverly Hills CopPirates of the CaribbeanArmageddon and Black Hawk Down.

The 41st Santa Barbara International Film Festival will take place February 4-14, 2026. Official events including screenings, filmmaker Q&As, industry panels and celebrity tributes will be held throughout the city, including at the historic Arlington Theatre and the new McHurley Film Center. Passes for the 2026 Festival are on sale now at sbiff.org.

Other recently announced tributes include Michael B. Jordan (Outstanding Performer of the Year Award), Adam Sandler (Maltin Modern Master Award), Stellan Skarsgård (Montecito Award), Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro (Hammond Cinema Vanguard Award), Kate Hudson (Arlington Artist of the Year Award) and Ethan Hawke (American Riviera Award).

Last year, the Festival featured more than 200 films, including 33 world premieres and 74 U.S. premieres from 60 countries, and celebrated more than 50 Academy Award winners and nominees. A-list and industry guests will once again ascend to Santa Barbara, solidifying the Festival as a must-stop on the awards circuit.
