Alleged affair with Sarah Setka sparks social media frenzy
The story took a dramatic turn when claims emerged that Schaffer had an affair with conservative influencer Sarah Setka. Milo Yiannopoulos amplified the allegations with a detailed thread, claiming a six-month relationship that began at CPAC in 2025.
The thread included screenshots and audio clips describing heavy drinking, emotional involvement, pregnancy scares, and overlapping marital trouble. Yiannopoulos also shared claims about Schaffer’s private life, substance use, and behind-the-scenes behavior, sparking widespread online discussion.
Divorce filings and RiftTV face questions
The controversy intensified when public divorce filings emerged. Yiannopoulos suggested that RiftTV was struggling financially and losing staff amid internal turmoil. Former associates shared cryptic posts hinting at workplace issues without confirming details. Schaffer remained mostly silent after some posts were deleted, which only added to the speculation.

Sarah Setka, previously Sarah Stock, is a conservative influencer and political activist. She attended Vanguard University in California, where she worked as a student journalist, and has been active in conservative media and political events like CPAC.

Stock is married to Will Setka, a Liberty University graduate in Political Science and Government. He has worked as a loan processor, campaign organizer, and political organizer for the Community Action Network.
The couple got engaged in August 2025 and married earlier this year, even meeting Pope Leo XIV during their wedding celebrations. Stock updated her social media to reflect her new last name after the marriage.
Audio recording adds explosive new details
Reports recently surfaced of an audio recording in which a woman confesses to an affair with Schaffer. The woman, suggested to be Stock, claims she initiated the relationship at CPAC while intoxicated. She said: “I’ll take any accountability at all, because like, it obviously was my fault too, what happened between us, but even that was like not, like I don’t know.
“I felt like it was like, like he got me like very intoxicated, like I don’t even like remember most of it. And I was even like thinking back, cause it was like at CPAC, the two nights, you’re there, and the second night, I was like breaking out in like a rash. And so he’s like, ‘oh like, get some Benadryl, it’ll help with the rash.'”
She also claimed she was intentionally given Benadryl and “blacked out” as a result: “And like now I’m thinking back, and it’s like that’s probably why I like blacked out, because he like intentionally gave me Benadryl. And like sent me a bunch of shots and stuff. And like obviously it’s like stupid on my part, to like go along with that, you know. But at the same time, its like, he obviously like knew what he was doing.”
She added that mixing Benadryl with alcohol increased toxicity in her body, and expressed guilt over the incident. She also claimed that Schaffer’s wife did not care about his affairs with other women.
Schaffer breaks his silence
In response, Schaffer addressed the controversy on X: “My wife divorced me & took my kids and I have no idea where they are. I’m sober. I’m sad. I have good support. Thank you for everyone supporting me during this rough season. I’ll get through it.”
What may have begun as a private matter has escalated into a viral scandal. Deleted posts, partial disclosures, and unanswered questions have made the story murky, existing somewhere between allegation, rumour, and spectacle – a striking example of how quickly private issues can explode online.
