Volkswagen Tayron R-Line Booking Amount Rs 51,000 – Price Release in February

The long-awaited Volkswagen Tayron R-Line will finally go on sale in the Indian market in February 2026. Interested customers can pre-book the new 3-row performance SUV online or at authorised dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 51,000. VW will also introduce the standard Tayron SUV in the next 3-5 months. Adding to it, the Taigun facelift, Slavia facelift and the 2nd batch of the Golf GTI will be launched before the end of this year.
Colour Options
The new Tayron R-Line will be offered in 7 colour choices – Dolphin Grey Metallic, Oyster Silver Metallic, Cipression-Green Metallic, Ultraviolet Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic and Oryx White Mother-of-Pearl Effect.
Tayron R-Line Specifications
Powering the new VW 7-Seater SUV is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, TSI petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. It comes with a permanent 4MOTION AWD system. This engine is capable of producing 204PS of power and 320Nm of torque. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 7.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 224kmph.
Estimated Price and Competition
The VW Tayron R-Line will be the brand’s new flagship SUV and will take on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and the soon-to-be-launched MG Majestor. We expect the new 7-seater SUV to cost somewhere between Rs 48 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom.
