One or both teams not to score
Atalanta vs Juventus
Coppa Italia, 8pm
Juventus beat Atalanta 1-0 in the 2023-24 Coppa Italia final and another low-scoring contest is on the cards when the teams meet in Thursday’s quarter-final.
Juve have been hard to beat since Luciano Spalletti replaced Igor Tudor as manager at the end of October.
They lost 2-1 at Napoli in Serie A in early December but have conceded only four goals in 12 subsequent matches and drew 0-0 at Monaco in the Champions League last week.
In-form forward Kenan Yildiz is an injury doubt for Juve and Dusan Vlahovic, who scored the decisive goal in the 2024 Coppa final, is injured.
Both teams have scored in only two of Atalanta’s last ten matches and that looks a solid bet in Thursday’s cup clash in Bergamo.
The hosts played with ten men for more than 80 minutes at Como on Sunday but still came away with a 0-0 draw thanks to Marco Carnesecchi’s injury-time penalty save.
Atalanta lost 1-0 at Union Saint-Gilloise on matchday eight of the Champions League and they may struggle to break down an increasingly impressive Juve defence.
