Thomas Haugh named to Julius Erving Award midseason top 10 watch list

Florida basketball forward Thomas Haugh is one of 10 players named to the 2026 Julius Erving Award Midseason Watch List.

The award recognizes the top small forward in the nation. Past winners include Cooper Flagg, Dalton Knecht, Jalen Wilson and Rui Hachimura, all of whom are currently playing in the NBA.

Haugh is one of three SEC players in the top 10, alongside Tennessee’s Nate Ament and Texas’ Dailyn Swain. Other high-profile names listed include BYU’s AJ Dybansta and USC’s Chad Baker-Mazara. Haugh is considered the leader of this year’s squad, displaying an elite motor and averaging 34 minutes per game.

The junior Gator is averaging 17.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 22 games this season. He has four double-doubles and nine 20-point games so far. He is also on the Wooden Award midseason Top 25 midseason list and was named a midseason Third Team All-American by Sporting News. He has also shot up several draft boards and is in consideration as a lottery pick this summer.

Fans can vote in the remaining two rounds at hoophallawards.com starting Friday. The fan vote counts as one committee vote in the finalist selection process.

Haugh and the Florida Gators return to the court Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET to face Texas A&M on the road.
