Southwest launching nonstop flights from BWI Airport to St. Thomas & U.S. Virgin Islands

LINTHICUM, Md. — Looking for a way to escape the cold for a warm tropical paradise?

Well, on Wednesday Southwest Airlines launched new nonstop flights from BWI Airport to St. Thomas and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The first flight takes off on Saturday, February 7, around 8:10am.

There will be celebration held beforehand in the terminal.
 
For those wondering, no you don’t need a U.S. passport in order to visit the Virgin Islands.
