Cameron Norrie has advanced into the round of 16 of the ATP Rotterdam Open after beating Roberto Bautista Agut in a convincing 7-6 6-1 straight-sets victory.
The British No 2 was made to work by his opponent in a rollercoaster 83-minute first set, but he came through in a tie-break, and turned on the style in a dominant 6-1 second set victory, seeing the Spaniard off in under 2 hours total.
The Brit will play the winner of the match between Valentin Royer and Christopher O’Connell in the round of 16 – the sixth seed is favoured over both opponents.
