WestJet offering new non-stop flights from the Sault this summer

As of June 12, the airline will fly twice a week on a 737 to Calgary International Airport
Saultites heading to Calgary will have a new option this summer.
As of June 12, WestJet will offer non-stop summer service twice a week on a 737 from Sault Ste. Marie Airport to Calgary International Airport.
Terry Bos, the president and CEO of the Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation, say they’re thrilled to see the return of WestJet.
“The community has long asked for direct flights to the west, and now WestJet is here to make that request a reality,” said Bos in a news release.
“We are excited to see this new connection to Calgary and beyond.”
WestJet will also be flying non-stop between Calgary and North Bay twice a week this summer.
“The new routes will give guests from across Canada greater choice to explore their own backyard, as well as more efficient access to onward connections through WestJet’s home province,” added John Weatherill, the airline’s executive vice-president and chief commercial officer.
