Emmerdale reveals Victoria’s exit story on ITVX – here’s who tells her to leave

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Tuesday’s episode (10 February), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale offers the first clear hint of Victoria Sugden’s exit story tonight, as Graham Foster encourages her to consider a future away from the village. Still traumatised by the events surrounding her brother John’s death, will Victoria take advice from this unlikely source?
Victoria is currently caught up in a living nightmare, as Joe Tate is blackmailing her over what happened to John. While John’s demise in Corriedale has been officially ruled as suicide, Joe is in possession of incriminating footage that shows Victoria killing the dangerous villain in self-defence.
In Tuesday’s episode, Victoria starts to spiral in the face of Joe’s ongoing threats. Her world has been turned upside-down by Joe’s scheming, as he continues to demand the Sugdens’ share of Moira Dingle’s farm in exchange for his silence.
During a tense meeting at Home Farm, Victoria voices her disapproval over Joe forcing her brother Robert to plant evidence in Moira’s home, which framed her for human trafficking and modern slavery. This has partly influenced the serious legal case against Moira, who is being held on remand ahead of a potential prison sentence.

Afterwards, a seething Victoria sticks around on Kim’s grounds for a while. There’s an unlikely heart-to-heart when Graham subsequently seeks her out, encouraging her to sell the farm and lose all of the painful reminders associated with it.
“This village is a constant reminder,” Victoria bitterly replies. “Of John and everything that he put us through. Of seeing Cain with the kids growing up without a mum. I don’t think I can stand it.”
In his usual blunt fashion, Graham replies: “Then this may not be the place for you. You’ll have money if you sell. Perhaps you should use it for a fresh start somewhere else.”

Later, a row erupts between Victoria and Robert. Could this be the tipping point that pushes Victoria to leave?
Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria, recently filmed temporary exit scenes for Emmerdale and went on maternity leave. It’s been confirmed that her on-screen departure will air this Thursday (12 February).
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
