Rangers host Knights on Don Cameron Potato Night

The Kitchener Rangers are set to face the London Knights on a special night at The Aud on Tuesday.
It’s Don Cameron Potato Night, an event that celebrates the life and legacy of a legendary broadcaster who spent five decades covering the Kitchener Rangers, while also raising funds and spuds for the House of Friendship.
“The Don Cameron Potato Night is a powerful reminder of the impact our fans can have when they come together,” said Rangers COO Joe Birch. “This event has become a cornerstone of our community outreach, and we’re grateful for the continued generosity shown to the House of Friendship year after year.”
Cameron began the annual food and funds drive back in 1996 when he encouraged fans to bring potatoes, in honour of his home province of Prince Edward Island, in order to support local charity initiatives at the House of Friendship.
Cameron passed away in 2018, but the event continues this year with its 29th edition.
On the ice, the Rangers will take on the Knights for the second time in less than one week, as the Blueshirts came out on top 4-3 after overtime at Canada Life Place last Wednesday.
