Bucks’ Bobby Portis Sends Powerful Message On 31st Birthday

Although it has been a tough 2025-26 NBA season for the Milwaukee Bucks, there are still things to be happy about.
Veteran forward Bobby Portis had a reason to celebrate recently, as he just turned 31 years old on Tuesday.
The former Arkansas Razorbacks star has been suiting up for Milwaukee since the 2020-21 NBA season, and it was with the Bucks that he reached the top in the same season when the team won the NBA championship.
Despite Milwaukee’s struggles since that championship campaign, Portis knows there have been more than enough blessings that came his way.
In a social media post on X, formerly Twitter, Portis sent a powerful message as he reflects on another trip around the sun.
“31! Grateful for another year and all the blessings that come with it. Thank you for all the birthday love and shoutout to everyone whose been rocking with me through it all!! #UNDERDOG,” wrote Portis on his post that came with photos from his birthday celebration.
Portis remains a key figure for the Bucks amid a tough campaign
Signed by Milwaukee to a three-year, $43.56 million contract in 2025, Portis has continued to enjoy ample playing time with the team.
While he usually just gets on the court as a reserve, he has averaged 13.3 points on a 48.4 percent shooting from the field, 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game entering Wednesday.
Milwaukee surely wants more from Portis, who is among those expected to step up, especially with two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo still out with an injury to his calf.
